"This was our first trip to Sidsmums, but certainly wont be our last. The new owners Tracy & Peter (British), made us very welcome and even picked us up from Carcassonne airport. Preixan is a lovely little village in the Aude courntryside but near enough to Carcassonne to make regular trips in. Fantastic place to relax and unwind with good walking right on the doorstep. The village has a supermarket and boulangerie all within 5 minutes walk of the gite. The kitchen and lounge facilities in the gite are very good, clean and well equipped and there is free tea and coffeee provided. One of the major improvements already made by the new owners is the showers for the cabins, which have been updated and are now in proper lockable cubicles."

100% "Sidsmums was a brilliant place to stay. Such a beautiful setting to kick back and relax. There are some lovely walks around the area it is set and it is not far at all from the city of Carcassonne. It has a supermarket very near by and a post office for when you need to send a post card to loved ones. The hostel itself is excellent. Clean and well kept and rooms are spacious. The garden is awesome for those evening with a bottle of wine or the mornings chilling. Tracey (the owner) was lovely."
